1. Spend more time with like-minded people
The more support you have, the easier it is to stay on track so, stick with folks who are moving in the same direction as you.
2. Become more Self-aware & know your Triggers
You can’t break a habit unless you are intentional about it. And every habit starts with a trigger. So, stay mindful so you can work through your triggers and can kick that habit.
3. Visualize your success
Get there in your head first! Its easier to go somewhere when you have already ‘been
there. See your success and feel it- visualize daily!
4. Give yourself consequences
If you fall off the wagon, make sure you have already set up the consequences to dissuade you and help keep you on track.
5. Set yourself up for Success & have a Plan when temptation comes
Think successes and you will get success. Prepare in advance to help yourself out. This may involve changing your schedule, adjusting your diet, or removing certain temptations. Do it before you start to help you stay on track.
6. Write it down
Put some legs to your plan to break that bad habit and put it in black & white. It makes it real and helps it really sink in.
7. Reward yourself
Don’t forget to reward yourself along the way. You’ve worked hard!
