/>1.Be Mindful of the Moment so you can learn from it. Learning from it will help you move past it. When worry or anxiety try to come, ask yourself
• What can I learn right now? If your bestie was in your current
situation- what would you tell him/her?
• Is there an area I need to make a mental mind shift?
• Am I focused more on the future/past or am I really engaged in
areas I may need to develop NOW?
2.Remember this is yet a mere moment along the journey & it too will pass:
If you are reading this you have lived long enough to know (and experience) that no circumstance or situation- no matter how detrimental, is permanent. So, don’t allow your mind to get stuck where your life is not destined to get stuck. If you are going through a difficult situation, keep knowing and expecting c.h.a.n.g.e. It IS coming!
3.Reflect on your life journey thus far. Most likely you’ve made it through harder
Remember your path. You are stronger than you think. More than likely you have survived situations that are far more difficult and challenging than the one(s) you face right now. So, maintain your perspective as one who has overcome in the past… Know that you will do it again.
4.Meditate & Focus on Scripture
One of the most powerful things I do when I feel a heaviness trying to burden me or worry knocking at my door is to remember(and meditate on) scripture. There are so many life-giving, encouraging scriptures in The Bible that speak to your worth as an individual, your value to Him and the destiny He created you to have. Soak up those words so you can keep your mindset on the positive things and not the negative.
5.Know you are in good company
Remember no one of significance or prominence (whether in society, biblically, or otherwise) ever came to that place without having to overcome a multiplicity of major life challenges. So, if this is what you are experiencing- you’re in good company. Take time to make yourself remember and recount these folks. For me it is like a mental defibrillator. It helps shake me out of the daunting challenge I face, revives my determination and compels me to get more creative in my efforts to move forward.
